The Tone:
This is a full-time, permanent role at HRCap, Inc., located in regional hybrid hubs in San Francisco, CA, Austin, TX, and New York, NY, operating on a hybrid work model. The client is a hyper-growth, venture-backed B2B Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform provider with 100-250 employees, currently undergoing rapid commercial expansion. This Junior Accountant position is a foundational pipeline role designed to support the growing corporate accounting infrastructure. It offers extensive exposure to automated multi-state billing cycles, SaaS metrics tracking, and digital general ledger administration, making it critical for the company’s continued financial success.

• Mission: This person will support the growing corporate accounting infrastructure by managing day-to-day transactions, assisting with month-end procedures, and optimizing SaaS billing.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Own day-to-day transaction entry, vendor bill verification, customer invoicing pipelines, and bank ledger reconciliations.
• Month-End Support: Assist Senior Accountants in executing month-end closing procedures, preparing standard accruals, and balancing prepaid asset amortizations.
• SaaS Billing Optimization: Monitor recurring customer subscription accounts, tracking billing exceptions, revenue recognition markers, and dunning workflows.
• Expense Compliance: Audit multi-state employee corporate expense reporting submissions to guarantee absolute adherence to internal travel and entertainment compliance rules.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required, along with a clear conceptual understanding of US GAAP double-entry accounting fundamentals (debits, credits, and financial statement structures).
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of progressive accounting clerk, internship, or general ledger bookkeeping experience.
• Skills: Advanced foundational knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUPs, and familiarity with cloud-based ERP environments like NetSuite or QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Bonus: Experience ideally within a tech startup or digital enterprise.
