Staff Accountant | Enpro Inc.

The Tone:
This role is for an early career Staff Accountant at Enpro Inc., a leading industrial technology company. Enpro operates in critical applications across diverse end-markets, including semiconductor, commercial vehicle, and sustainable power generation, with segments in Sealing Products and Advanced Surface Technologies. This position is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and supporting the monthly close process, ensuring compliance with publicly traded company requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). The Staff Accountant plays a key role in the financial operations of multiple business sites, contributing to the organization’s commitment to excellence and driving value.

• Mission: To accurately manage general ledger accounting and the monthly close process for multiple business sites, ensuring compliance and supporting financial reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting: Perform general ledger accounting duties for multiple Enpro business sites, including preparing journal entries and supporting the monthly accounting close process.
• Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and support the reconciliation of intercompany account balances across Enpro divisions.
• Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of quarter-end and year-end Reporting Packages to facilitate SEC reporting requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate workflows, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency within accounting operations.
• System Maintenance: Manage the uploading and maintenance of ledgers within OneStream, the company-wide consolidation module.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a focus on core accounting principles and practices for publicly traded companies.
• Experience: Up to 2 to 3 years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience gained in public accounting and/or within a publicly traded company’s accounting function.
• Skills: Strong computer proficiency, including detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; strong verbal and written communication skills; effective interpersonal skills.
• Bonus: CPA candidate or expressed interest in pursuing the CPA license; ability to travel up to 10% of the time as required by business needs.
