Accounting Specialist | Arizona Liver Health

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Arizona Liver Health, located in Chandler, AZ. Our organization is dedicated to driving high standards of care and advancing medical innovation through leading clinical trials. We ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance while generating high-quality clinical data across our network of multiphase research, standard of care, and VEN Centers. This Accounting Specialist role is crucial for maintaining the precise financial records that underpin our operations, ensuring the accurate tracking of assets, liabilities, and profitability, which is vital for our continued growth and impactful patient treatment initiatives.

• Mission: This person ensures accurate financial record-keeping, manages key accounting processes, and supports the overall financial health of the organization.
• Tech Stack: QBO, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial records, including monthly balance sheets, income statements, and detailed profit and loss statements.
• Ledger Management: Manage the general ledger by accurately coding invoices, setting up new accounts, reconciling various financial accounts, and efficiently closing monthly books.
• Transaction Processing: Verify and complete payments for accounts payable, ensure proper allocation of expenses to appropriate accounts, and manage accounts receivable collections.
• Audit & Compliance: Provide essential support for annual audits by gathering necessary account information and documents, and ensure timely filing of forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• System Oversight: Coordinate with software vendors to maintain and recommend updates for accounting software systems, while also managing the organization’s purchasing and invoicing processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Prior experience with general cost accounting, account reconciliation, and invoice processing.
• Skills: Basic understanding of general accounting principles, concepts, and best practices; strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; excellent organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Bonus: Preferred understanding of the healthcare industry and prior experience utilizing accounting software, specifically QBO.
