CORE Management Trainee – Automation | CMC

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotate through core business operations: Actively participate in rotational assignments across various functional areas, including Mills, Fabrication, Recycling, and Emerging Businesses such as Construction Services.
• Uphold company safety standards: Proactively engage in CMC Safety Programs and ensure adherence to the company’s safety culture across all work environments.
• Learn plant processes and procedures: Work directly at the plant level to gain in-depth understanding of operational processes, equipment, and standard procedures.
• Engage in developmental training and business projects: Participate in a variety of developmental trainings designed to enhance professional skills and contribute to critical business projects.
• Complete and present a capstone project: Research, develop, and deliver a comprehensive capstone project at the conclusion of the program, demonstrating learned skills and insights.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree is required, providing the foundational knowledge necessary for an early career role designed to learn the steel, construction reinforcement, and ground stabilization industries from the ground up.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is explicitly mandated for this management trainee program. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to adhere to CMC’s core values and stringent safety standards, with a willingness to work effectively in varied environmental conditions, including hot, cold, or wet elements. Flexibility for irregular hours and potential relocation at the program’s conclusion for subsequent opportunities is essential.
• Skills: Strong customer service capabilities are required to interact effectively across all levels of the organization, from shop floor personnel to upper management. The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes and environments is also critical.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred, offering a valuable technical foundation for understanding CMC’s industrial operations.
