The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Manage assigned profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet accounts.
• Generate: Prepare journal entries along with their supporting schedules.
• Reconcile: Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Support: Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Analyze: Examine income statement and balance sheet variances to identify discrepancies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Experience: 1+ years of hands-on accounting experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong general accounting and reconciliation skills, strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, highly organized with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bonus: Public accounting experience or CPA designation preferred, NetSuite experience preferred.
