Supply Chain Management Associate | Gorton’s

The Tone:
This is a developmental program at Gorton’s, primarily involving in-person assignments with the expectation and requirement for relocation as part of career progression. Gorton’s is dedicated to cultivating its future Supply Chain leaders through this comprehensive Associate program, offering a rich variety of experiences within its Supply Chain and Operations areas. This role is fundamental to enhancing the company’s operational efficiency and strategic direction, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and directly influence significant business outcomes from an early career stage. Participants will grow their supply chain expertise while deeply learning the core aspects of Gorton’s business, making a tangible difference in its continued success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Initial Assignments: Take ownership of specific early assignments within key Supply Chain departments, including Production Scheduling, Inventory Management, Transportation, Production Management, Purchasing, and Customer Logistics.
• Drive Rotational Development: Actively participate in a program designed to move to other assignments within the Supply Chain activity and/or other locations, building a broad base of comprehensive experience.
• Cultivate Expertise: Develop specialized supply chain expertise while simultaneously gaining a deep understanding of the intricacies of Gorton’s business operations and strategic context.
• Foster Collaboration: Work closely and effectively with peers and senior managers across various Gorton’s disciplines, such as Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and Information Technology.
• Achieve Business Impact: Apply acquired insights and skills to make a significant and measurable difference in the overall success and operational efficiency of Gorton’s business.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a focused concentration in Supply Chain Logistics or Transportation Management, suitable for an early career development program.
• Experience: Hold relevant Co-Op or Internship experience. Preference is given to candidates with some additional work experience that demonstrates strong business analysis capabilities.
• Skills: Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration, and the capacity to leverage information to form insightful business judgments.
• Bonus: Demonstrate initiative as a self-starter, show clear potential for career advancement within the organization, and express a willingness to relocate as required for career development opportunities.
