Transaction Tax Compliance Intern – Spring 2027 | DMA – DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc.

• Mission: This role supports accurate and timely transaction tax compliance for clients by processing returns, managing payments, and resolving notices.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint
What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Filing & Processing: Process tax returns and filings for small entities, including supporting analysts with online submissions and preparing check and electronic payment batches.
• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor, review, and resolve jurisdictional tax notices to ensure continuous client compliance.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare bank reconciliations for applicable clients and complete essential month-end reporting tasks such as scanning and uploading.
• Administrative Support: Prepare mailing of tax returns and checks, and assist compliance teams with administrative actions like amended returns and address changes.
• Regulatory Familiarization: Familiarize with state and local tax compliance regulations, contributing to a growing understanding of the field.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance, having successfully completed Intermediate Accounting I.
• Experience: Successful completion of Intermediate Accounting I coursework.
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: GPA Desired: 2.5 or higher.
