Accountant I – Corporate (Las Vegas) | Caesars Entertainment
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Caesars Entertainment, located in Las Vegas, NV. This Accountant I position is fundamental to the finance department, responsible for performing the daily accounting functions that ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, Caesars’ policies, and applicable regulations. The role supports department leadership by contributing to explanations for monthly activity and fluctuations, directly impacting the financial health and transparency of the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile Accounts: Collaborate with accounting staff to perform timely research and resolution of reconciling items, escalating exceptions to management for review and consultation as needed.
• Process Transactions: Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting processes to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with established procedures.
• Prepare Financial Deliverables: Accurately prepare a range of monthly deliverables, including detailed roll forward schedules, essential financial reporting support schedules, and necessary legal/regulatory reporting documentation.
• Enhance Processes: Actively assist in identifying areas for process improvement within the department and recommend effective solutions to leadership, contributing to increased efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain Internal Controls: Operate within the requirements of US GAAP and contribute to the understanding and adherence to Internal Control over Financial Report (ICFR) and SOX requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Accounting. Entry-Level career.
• Experience: 0-1 years of accounting-related experience; prior experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system.
• Skills: Understanding of US GAAP, critical thinking skills, analytical skills, detail-oriented, proficient in time management, ability to prioritize workload, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, good communication (written and verbal), understanding of ICFR and SOX requirements.
• Bonus: Prefer gaming industry experience.
