This position is designed for someone eager to learn and develop, supporting essential accounting functions, while also contributing to the design and automation of accounting workflows using AI tools. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Close: Support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, accrual adjustments, and account reconciliations under senior guidance.
• Payroll Processing: Assist with semi-monthly or bi-weekly payroll processing by gathering and inputting necessary data.
• Expense Analysis: Track, categorize, and report on payroll-related costs, identifying trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Workflow Automation: Help build and improve accounting workflows and system integrations using AI tools and automation to reduce manual effort.
• Reporting & Analysis: Pull data, create simple reports, and respond to ad hoc questions to understand how numbers connect to business operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level role requiring a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience: None specified; internships, part-time work, coursework, or relevant projects are a plus but not required.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, natural bias toward accuracy, solid problem-solving and analytical instincts, good written and verbal communication, professional collaborative approach, organizational skills, and time management.
• Bonus: Eagerness to learn, a growth mindset, coachability, curiosity about technology and AI, and comfort with Microsoft Excel or a willingness to develop strong Excel skills quickly.
