Entry Level Staff Accountant | Career Group

This Entry-Level Staff Accountant position is crucial for supporting the fund accounting function, providing a foundational opportunity to work closely with family office and investment teams. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Operations: Coordinate wire transfers and bill payments, monitoring cash accounts and tracking all cash activity for investments and distributions.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly financials, quarterly reports, annual financial statements with footnotes, and partner capital statements.
• Investment Management: Track investments, maintain accurate investment records and documentation, and assist with annual fair market value valuations.
• Process Support: Prepare capital call and distribution letters, including related calculations and allocations, and assist with carried interest calculations.
• Audit & Client Support: Support independent financial audit processes, particularly from January through April, and assist with investor communications and requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Up to 1 year of post-graduation professional experience; candidates with limited experience are encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy, strong organizational and time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and clear written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Exposure to QuickBooks is preferred, along with an interest in developing a long-term career in fund accounting and investment operations.
