Property Accountant | Schulte Hospitality Group

• Mission: This person is responsible for supporting daily and monthly accounting operations to maintain accurate financial records for property management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee Daily Financial Operations: Review processes and output from Night Audit, General Cashier, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy.
• Manage Cash Handling: Review daily cash drops and prepare corresponding deposits.
• Support Monthly Reconciliation: Assist with house bank audits and distribution, along with the monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
• Validate Account Data: Verify the coding of accounts payable invoices, monitor accounts receivable status, and assist with resolving billing inquiries.
• Execute Month-End Reporting: Contribute to month-end tasks, including generating and saving standard owner reports, and ensure all reports meet established retention policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School education is required.
• Experience: One or more years of accounting experience is preferred.
• Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write in the primary workplace language; strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in mathematical operations; expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; capacity to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business Education; experience within a hotel accounting environment.
