The TL;DR

• Mission: To ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and timely ledger close through meticulous general ledger management and reconciliation activities.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Word, related accounting/payroll systems, Oracle (preferred)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Account Reconciliation: Perform comprehensive account reconciliations, conduct trend analysis, and analyze financial data for completeness.
• General Ledger Management: Research information requests and respond to issues involving various general ledger accounts.
• Corporate Accounting: Reconcile corporate balance sheet accounts and perform analytical reviews of monthly financial activity.
• Monthly Close & Reporting: Prepare journal entries, generate necessary reports, and participate in related monthly accounting activities to ensure a timely ledger close.
• Audit & Compliance: Assist in the preparation of corporate schedules required for the annual audit performed by external auditors and monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with foundational knowledge of General Accounting Principles.
• Experience: One to two years of accounting experience preferred, including computer literacy with Excel, Word, and related accounting/payroll systems.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem resolution capabilities, along with a working knowledge of current industry trends, standards, and practices.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Oracle is preferred.
