MBA Leadership Development Program | J.B. Poindexter & Co

The Tone:
This is a full-time leadership development program at J.B. Poindexter & Co., located across manufacturing hubs in Elkhart, IN/Sturgis, MI and Reading, PA/Morgantown, PA. J.B. Poindexter & Co. is a privately held, diversified manufacturing company with over $2.5 billion in annual revenues and 8,000 team members, producing commercial truck bodies, ambulances, and specialized vehicle components. This program is designed to identify and cultivate future leaders for the company, providing an accelerated path to senior management, director, and vice president roles within operations or supply chain functions.

• Team: Reports directly to the Corporate SVP of Operations.
• Mission: Identify and develop future leaders to drive organizational growth and fill senior-level roles within J.B. Poindexter & Co.’s manufacturing businesses.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate in a structured two-year leadership development rotation program.
• Complete six-month rotations in operations or supply chain positions to gain understanding of business unit functions.
• Develop an Individual Development Plan in conjunction with the program to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
• Receive executive-level mentorship directly from the Corporate SVP of Operations throughout the program.
• Upon successful completion, accept a leadership position in one of our manufacturing locations within the United States.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from an accredited four-year university, with a focus on operations, supply chain, business, or entrepreneurship. The program is designed for future Senior Manager, Director, and Vice President level candidates.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct hands-on supply chain or mechanical engineering experience on a plant floor, specifically within a discrete manufacturing environment such as automotive, machinery, or durable goods. Proven manufacturing experience demonstrating measurable achievements, preferably in management or leadership capacities.
• Skills: Strong background in operations, supply chain, or engineering. Demonstrated ability to build strong and lasting professional relationships. Proven leadership experience from academic or professional settings.
• Bonus: A G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher is preferred for the MBA degree. Willingness to be flexible regarding relocation during and after the program is critical.
