This role is crucial for supporting the Reimbursement Practice, which provides in-depth, tailored solutions to healthcare clients in areas such as Medicare, Medicaid, and uncompensated care. By contributing to these consulting projects, the intern will play a direct role in helping clients navigate complex healthcare reimbursement landscapes.

• Mission: To support clients with critical reimbursement consulting projects and develop technical expertise in healthcare finance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Support: Support clients on diverse reimbursement consulting projects, including Medicare and Medicaid Disproportionate Share, Medicare Bad Debts, and Uncompensated Care Reporting.
• Software Proficiency: Learn and effectively utilize new internal software and platforms essential for the consulting practice.
• Data Analysis: Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities by compiling and assessing large data sets, while also identifying potential data concerns or issues.
• Knowledge Development: Learn and develop new technical knowledge specific to the consulting practice and the healthcare clients served.
• Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare practitioners in other service lines within the firm and understand the breadth of firm offerings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, accounting, finance, analytics, or healthcare administration. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall), with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong Excel skills.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, effective time management skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work well both independently and in a team setting.
• Bonus: A preference for candidates who have the ability to intern from January 2027 through August 2027.
