This Accountant I role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing directly to sound financial reporting and analysis.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Expense Analysis: Assemble plant expense analysis and regularly report updates to staff.
• Accounts Payable & Banking: Coordinate accounts payable for plant operations and prepare bank reconciliations for various accounts.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare specific monthly journal entries, sales tax returns, and warranty expense account analysis.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Analyze and reconcile general accounting discrepancies, including utility use, and settle/close production orders.
• Auditing & Compliance: Provide internal financial and cycle count audits, issuing reports, and observing GAAP and company policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, suitable for an entry-level position.
• Experience: 0-2 years of accounting experience, including internships or co-ops, is preferred.
• Skills: Strong Excel proficiency, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis. Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
• Bonus: SAP knowledge and exposure to manufacturing or inventory accounting are a plus.
