Assistant Operations Manager | SBM Management Services, LP

The Tone:
This is a full-time Assistant Operations Manager position at SBM Management Services, LP, initially located in Monee, IL, with a significant relocation requirement after an eight-week training program. SBM Management Services, LP is dedicated to delivering comprehensive facilities management services to its clients. This role is crucial for assisting in the coordination and direction of operational responsibilities, ensuring seamless service delivery and client satisfaction after completing an intensive management training program.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $60000–$70000 yearly
• Mission: To assist with coordinating and directing operations necessary to fulfill contractual responsibilities, including planning, supervision, budgeting, and customer relations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Schedule Management: Assist with developing work schedules for service personnel and assigning them to routes to ensure adequate service delivery.
• Compliance and Quality Control: Assist with inspecting and evaluating establishments for program compliance, focusing on safety, quality, and service standards.
• Resource Optimization: Assist with inventorying supplies and equipment, and investigate methods to improve equipment use and overall operational efficiency.
• Policy Implementation: Support the implementation and execution of company policies and goals, and review customer requests to address service needs.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a primary liaison between the company, customers, clients, employees, and subcontractors, while also assisting with human resource concerns and issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business Management or a related field, preparing for a managerial role within facilities operations.
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The role includes participation in an eight-week Management-in-Training (MIT) program designed for professional development, with relocation required upon completion.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, problem solving, time management, project management, and planning abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills, coupled with knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, compounds, and chemicals for safe and efficient use.
• Bonus: CPR/AED/First Aid certification, bilingual proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and forklift certification are all preferred qualifications.
