Accounting Coordinator | Pinnacle Engineering Group

The Tone:
Pinnacle Engineering Group is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join its team. This role is integral to supporting the accounting department, focusing on compiling, analyzing, and maintaining accurate financial records and processing crucial financial transactions. The Accounting Coordinator will also be key in assisting with financial report preparation and providing essential administrative and document management support. This position is central to ensuring accurate financial operations, timely reporting, and efficient day-to-day office functions within a collaborative environment where you’ll gain exposure to impactful transportation infrastructure projects.

The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Transaction Processing: Efficiently process all incoming payments received via check, credit card, and EFT. This includes preparing and making regular bank deposits, as well as preparing and executing all company invoicing on a monthly basis.
• Financial Record Management: Compile, analyze, and diligently maintain accurate financial records, encompassing ledgers, journals, and receipts, to ensure data integrity and traceability.
• Reconciliation and Reporting: Conduct comprehensive reconciliation of various statements, including bank and credit card accounts. Additionally, prepare monthly financial statements and generate and review other essential monthly reports.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure strict compliance with all internal accounting procedures and standards. Actively assist in the preparation and execution of annual benefit and 401k audits.
• Cross-Functional Accounting Support: Provide critical support across core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, while also performing general administrative and document management tasks as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, providing a foundational understanding of financial principles.
• Experience: Bring 0-4 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance capacity, demonstrating an early career commitment to financial support roles.
• Skills: Exhibit proficiency in the MS Office Suite, specifically Office 365 and Excel, for data management and reporting. Must also demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task effectively and possess a valid driver’s license.
