Accounting Assistant | KMC Partners
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at KMC Partners and Enliven Construction, located in Philadelphia, PA. This role is crucial for supporting daily accounting operations while gaining exposure to construction-specific financial processes. What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Processing: Process vendor and subcontractor invoices, assisting with accounts payable and reviewing for proper project and cost-code allocation.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate vendor and subcontractor records, and assist with credit card transactions, employee expenses, and various reconciliations.
• Project Financial Support: Support project accounting and job-cost reporting, working with Project Managers to maintain accurate project financial information.
• Billing and Compliance: Assist with subcontractor payment documentation, including lien waivers and compliance requirements, and support owner billing and accounts receivable as needed.
• Month-End Support: Assist with monthly reconciliations and accounting close processes, along with general accounting and administrative responsibilities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Bachelor’s or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 0–2 years of accounting or related professional experience.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, strong written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Comfortable working with numbers, willingness to learn new financial systems, and a collaborative attitude.
