The Tone:
This is a critical Military Technician position with the United States Department of Defense, located within the 377th Theater Sustainment Command in Gainesville, Georgia. This vital role involves managing the daily operations and comprehensive mission readiness program for a US Army Reserve unit, requiring active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. The Administrator will function as a central figure, ensuring the unit’s administrative, personnel, logistical, and financial functions are meticulously managed, directly contributing to the readiness and operational success of military personnel.

• Team: 377th Theater Sustainment Command, 802nd Ordnance Company, 352nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 518th Sustainment Brigade, 143rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command. The role represents the US Army Reserve Troop Program Unit Commander in his/her absence.
• Mission: To meticulously manage and oversee all administrative, logistical, and readiness programs, ensuring the operational preparedness and effective functioning of a US Army Reserve unit.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Operations: Oversee and direct the daily operations of a US Army Reserve unit’s comprehensive mission readiness program.
• Represent Command: Serve as the official representative for the US Army Reserve Troop Program Unit Commander during their absence, maintaining unit continuity and authority.
• Administer Readiness: Manage unit and individual personnel readiness, medical readiness programs, and coordinate the overall training readiness for the unit.
• Execute Programs: Implement and manage the unit’s essential supply and logistics program, alongside administering the financial management program, including Government Purchasing and Travel Card systems.
• Advise and Support: Provide expert advice on Soldier pay, benefits, entitlements, and incentives, actively assisting with the resolution of pay-related issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An advanced academic foundation, demonstrated by a Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a field directly relevant to the work, such as Organizational Management and Leadership, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Management.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of specialized experience providing administrative assistance within a military unit or military activity, covering areas such as unit or individual training, medical readiness, personnel actions, financial actions, supply, or logistics. This experience must also include performing day-to-day administrative functions and preparing or reviewing written products. Additionally, applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-07 grade or equivalent.
• Skills: Proven ability in administrative management within a military environment, robust record management and compliance skills, proficiency in financial program administration including government cards, and strong capabilities in personnel and logistics coordination.
