The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Robinwood Retirement Community, located at the Corporate Office in Lincoln, Nebraska. This Accountant position is vital for supporting the financial operations of multiple communities through precise account reconciliations, financial reporting, and efficient accounts payable processes. The role offers a collaborative environment to develop expertise across a range of accounting functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and complete accurate month-end financial statements for assigned communities, ensuring timely adherence to established deadlines.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations, analyze general ledger accounts, and actively identify and resolve discrepancies for various financial accounts.
• Accounts Payable Management: Review and approve the coding for invoices, expenses, and credit card transactions, assisting with data integration to ensure complete financial records and timely vendor payments.
• Compliance Support: Support the accurate preparation and filing of monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns, contributing to overall regulatory adherence.
• Operational Support: Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile prospect and resident accounts including monthly rent roll reviews, and process check requests as part of ongoing community accounting functions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, specifically spreadsheets and word documents.
• Skills: Service-oriented communication, an ability to communicate respectfully, compassionately, and effectively, and the capacity to learn quickly with little supervision.
