This role supports the financial operations of a plant environment and offers a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to analyze financial information and partner with operations to understand the story behind the numbers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Operations: Support day-to-day accounting and financial activities for a manufacturing plant operation.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze plant expenses, production costs, inventory, and budget performance to understand financial trends.
• Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Variance Investigation: Investigate production and cost variances and communicate findings to plant leadership.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and analysis to support operational and management decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; suitable for an early-career professional.
• Experience: 1-2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and general data analysis; experience with an ERP system; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Exposure to manufacturing, plant, inventory, or cost accounting; recent graduates with a relevant manufacturing internship or co-op; SAP experience.
