What You’ll Actually Do
• Record: Record and reconcile financial transactions accurately and consistently.
• Maintain: Maintain the general ledger and prepare necessary journal entries.
• Support: Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Close: Support month-end and year-end closing processes and help produce financial reports for internal stakeholders.
• Comply: Monitor budget variances, support audits, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including GAAP, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
• Experience: Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Skills: Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA or pursuit of certification); prior experience in construction, roofing, or other project-based industries.
