What You’ll Actually Do
• Collect Data: Assist with collecting data and preparing it for electronic work papers.
• Input Data: Input tax data into appropriate software systems.
• Produce Work Papers: Produce electronic work papers for next-level review in conformance with department standards.
• Provide Support: Assist team members with various tasks as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current university student, working towards a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Academic success and other internships or work-related experience are encouraged. Undergraduate exposure to tax accounting is a plus, though not required.
• Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat, along with the ability to quickly learn new software systems like CCH Axcess, Checkpoint, and Pfx Scan. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence, exceptional communication (written and verbal) and collaboration abilities, and excellent work habits characterized by a self-starter mentality that proactively manages workloads and takes ownership of prioritizing tasks. Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and teamwork, and is motivated to thrive in an active and evolving work environment.
• Bonus: Strong desire to pursue the CPA designation.
