The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Wesco. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of financial records and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. Your work will directly support the preparation of key financial reports, allowing the company to analyze current performance and predict future revenues and expenses effectively.

• Mission: Ensure the accuracy and proper recording of all financial transactions, prepare critical financial statements, and analyze financial data to support business operations and future planning.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Recording: Maintain accurate financial records by compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions.
• Reporting & Statements: Prepare profit and loss statements, monthly closing and cost accounting reports, and other financial reports such as balance sheets.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare general ledger account reconciliations with detailed line item support and resolve accounting discrepancies by interacting with business units.
• Procedure & Controls: Maintain and coordinate the implementation of appropriate accounting and accounting control procedures, including monitoring system reports for accuracy.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses, and review budgets and expenditures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, with core domain knowledge in accounting theory and principles.
• Experience: 1 year of accounting experience required, with 3 years preferred.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access, and the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
• Bonus: 1 year of working knowledge of Oracle financials module experience, familiarity with federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations, and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
