Corporate Tax Intern | Zurn Elkay Water Solutions
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, located in Milwaukee, WI. Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is a publicly traded international supplier of plumbing and water delivery solutions, focused on integrity and providing an engaging environment. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience by assisting the corporate tax function, contributing to both domestic and global tax operations. The intern will play a key role in supporting tax return preparation and audit assistance within a values-driven company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Department Support: Serve as direct support for the Domestic Tax Manager and various other members of the Tax Department.
• Tax Return Preparation: Assist with the preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns, as well as sales and use tax and other indirect tax filings.
• Tax Research: Perform research related to specific tax matters to support departmental needs.
• Compliance Validation: Validate tax exemption certificates to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Process Improvement & Projects: Help identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with special projects as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must currently be pursuing a 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer; efficient with MS Office Suite; a GPA of 3.5 or higher is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, high level of confidentiality and professionalism, strong organizational and time management skills, advanced problem solving and teamwork skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience working in an office setting, preferably a Junior or Senior student.
