Assurance Intern – Winter 2028 (Fort Worth) | BDO USA

This is an Assurance Intern position at BDO USA, based in Fort Worth, TX. • Mission: Assist in problem-solving and fact-finding within the Assurance practice to serve dynamic client bases and gain hands-on experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Training: Participate in a structured on-the-job training program to become familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
• Methodology: Learn BDO-specific audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Support: Provide various support functions to the audit staff during engagement.
• Communication: Communicate with clients’ customers, creditors, banks, and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Documentation: Prepare and document work in working papers utilizing BDO-specific tools and templates.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting, required; Entry-Level career.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required.
• Bonus: Pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting, actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA, leadership experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to follow instructions as directed, ability to work effectively in a team setting, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
