You will contribute to operational excellence by executing core accounting functions and supporting process improvements.

• Mission: This person owns the integrity of financial data through meticulous month-end closures, account reconciliations, and insightful financial reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Prepare journal entries for month-end close by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Reconcile: Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies between supporting documents and the general ledger.
• Report: Generate various sales and expense reports for internal management, and prepare special financial reports like financial ratios and income statement accounts flux analysis.
• Maintain: Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures, and ensure internal controls are consistently applied across departments.
• Support: Provide external auditors with necessary supporting documents related to internal control and substantive audit procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience that may offset the degree requirement.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage month-end closing processes and perform comprehensive account reconciliations.
• Skills: Detail-orientation, strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, a process-improvement mindset, and professional communication with colleagues.
• Bonus: CMA/CPA certification (or the desire to obtain it), prior experience in a fast-paced environment, and familiarity with ERP and Business Intelligence systems.
