What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Accounting: Support the day-to-day functions of the accounting department.
• Financial Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile bank statements and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Month-End Close: Perform month-end close tasks and prepare financial statement analysis.
• Compliance Support: Prepare supporting documentation for financial statement audits and tax provisions/returns, and assist with tax filing workpapers.
• Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Tax, Audit, or Finance.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in an internship or accounting role, preferably within finance, consulting, or technology.
• Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills including Logical Formulas, Lookups, and Pivot Tables; knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); strong organizational skills with comfort managing multiple work streams.
• Bonus: Public Accounting Experience Preferred; experience with Visual Basic and/or SQL is a plus.
