2027 July – Financial Advisor Development Program – Charlotte | UBS
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at UBS, located in Charlotte, NC. UBS is a leading and truly global wealth manager, the leading universal bank in Switzerland, and a provider of diversified asset management solutions and focused investment banking capabilities, present in more than 50 markets. This role is a 36-month development program designed to cultivate future financial advisors, enabling them to serve Emerging Affluent clients and contribute to a growing wealth management business focused on delivering high-quality advice and building strong client relationships.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Build a strong foundation in customer service, financial markets, financial planning, investment strategies, and wealth management solutions.
• Manage: Provide an exceptional client experience by building and deepening relationships with the existing client base.
• Obtain: Acquire Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA Licenses and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation through the program.
• Support: Perform a wide range of back and front office operational functions, answer client phone calls, and manage appointments.
• Advise: Conduct discovery conversations, utilize UBS’s digital planning tools, and deliver expert financial advice, including portfolio management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Upcoming or recent graduate. Must complete SIE at least 30 days before joining and pass Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days of starting.
• Skills: Understanding of FINRA licensing requirements, foundational knowledge of financial planning and investment strategies, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and adherence to regulatory compliance and operational procedures.
• Bonus: Background in business administration, wealth management, financial planning, or finance; coursework on financial planning through a CFP Board Registered Program; Series 66 completed prior to starting; evidence of experimental and responsible use of AI to improve outcomes and efficiency.
