Senior Manager, Credit Risk Analytics and Modelling, Audit and Assurance | Deloitte
The Tone:
This is a full-time Senior Manager role at Deloitte, located in Leeds, London, or Manchester with hybrid working. Deloitte’s UK Financial Services Audit and Assurance practice delivers high-value external audit services to major financial institutions. This position is vital for providing independent assurance, fostering trust between businesses and the public, and guiding clients through complex credit risk analytics and modelling challenges.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Services: Provide credit measurement modelling and analytics services to clients, supporting first, second, and third-line teams.
• Ecosystem Improvement: Help clients design and improve their wider credit measurement ecosystems, including data, controls, and model risk management.
• Audit and Assurance: Support Deloitte’s external audit of IFRS9 and assurance of RWA by challenging client methodologies and implementation quality.
• Business Development: Contribute to the Credit Risk team’s strategy and identify new opportunities through market engagement and business development.
• Team Leadership: Lead the Credit Risk team, encompassing project management of client engagements, talent development, and acting as a role model for Deloitte’s values.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Expert credit modelling skills and experience in developing, delivering, or validating credit risk models under IFRS9, IRB, and forecasting/stress testing regimes. Understanding of credit financials, associated governance, and the financial services industry, including credit fundamentals of different asset classes.
• Experience: Demonstrated project management and leadership skills, with an ability to partner with clients and build strong relationships. Experience developing talent and coaching a team is also essential.
• Skills: Strong proficiency with modelling software such as SAS, SQL, Python, and R. Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to non-expert audiences, alongside creative thinking and challenging the status quo.
• Bonus: Knowledge of current economic and market trends, experience interacting with regulators or auditors, and commercial understanding of IFRS9 and capital rating system outputs. An understanding of wider rating systems concepts, the changing regulatory environment, and experience with data visualisation are also beneficial.
