What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership: Manage a team of Portfolio Managers responsible for managing and servicing portfolio loan relationships.
• Relationship Management: Ensure the team expands and builds client relationships, consistently achieving a high degree of customer satisfaction.
• Credit Evaluation: Evaluate credit risk and form opinions for approving or denying loan applications, ensuring information gathered is appropriate for sound decisions.
• Portfolio Oversight: Maintain overall responsibility for policy exception identification, monitoring credit performance, and completing loan presentations for new commitments, modifications, and renewals.
• Client Consultation: Consult with clients and internal banking relationship managers to develop objectives, providing expert advice and counsel on commercial and business banking loans.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field, combined with managerial or supervisory experience. Candidates must have core domain knowledge in commercial and business banking loans, credit, loan structuring, and portfolio management.
• Experience: Possesses 10+ years of commercial and business banking loans, credit, loan structuring, portfolio management, and banking or other directly related lending experience.
• Skills: Demonstrates extensive, in-depth knowledge of loans, portfolio management, credit analysis, underwriting, loan structuring, and loan processing and closing procedures. Exhibits excellent management, problem-solving, analysis, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of relationship managers.
