The Tone:
This is a full-time Associate role at Citi, located in New York, USA. Citi operates as a global financial services organization, where its Global Functions business division provides critical support across the company. The Financial Management Associate (FMA) rotational program is designed to cultivate future Corporate Finance leaders, accelerating careers by exposing participants to a variety of roles within the division. This program is crucial for building a pipeline of talent in key areas like Controllers, Treasury, and Financial Planning & Analysis, contributing directly to Citi’s ongoing success and strategic direction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Accelerate your career by gaining exposure to diverse roles within Corporate Finance across disciplines like Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, and Chief Finance Offices.
• Lead: Build leadership capability and sharpen management skills through three 8-month rotations, working closely with senior managers to gain deep, meaningful exposure.
• Execute: Help drive Citi Finance’s four core priorities: championing financial performance and strategic execution, generating value and optimizing resources, accelerating finance transformation and controls, and developing people and culture.
• Learn: Participate in an energizing Welcome Week and comprehensive global training program, covering accounting, modeling, technical, and soft skills like presentation, communication, and leadership.
• Contribute: Undertake high-impact work with significant responsibility, contributing to Citi’s growth strategy and engaging in a challenging analytical financial environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s Degree (MBA or Master’s) in Accounting, Financial Strategy, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
• Experience: At least 3 years of significant, related full-time professional work experience; graduating between December 2026 and June 2027; will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or at time of hire.
• Skills: Strategic and analytical mindset with a global perspective, strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, technical proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, an AI-literate and forward-thinking mindset, sound risk management judgment.
• Bonus: Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or FRM; multilingual capabilities; demonstrated interest in Data Analytics, Database Management, Information Systems, or Digital Technology.
