The TL;DR

• Mission: This person will manage daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks, including general ledger and financial reporting, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Facilitate the monthly financial close process by preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Reconcile: Conduct intercompany transactions and perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Manage Assets: Oversee the fixed asset ledger, including maintaining depreciation schedules and related reconciliations.
• Process Payables: Handle accounts payable invoices and execute weekly check runs accurately and punctually.
• Report: Manage 1099 vendor information and prepare for year-end reporting requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, providing a foundational understanding of core accounting principles.
• Experience: Minimum of 1+ year of professional accounting experience.
• Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency, strong analytical capabilities, acute attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines while working both independently and collaboratively.
• Bonus: Prior experience using Sage Intacct software.
