This is an Audit Intern position at Forvis Mazars US, located in Nashville, TN. The TL;DR

• Mission: To gain practical experience by working on client engagements like those assigned to entry-level associates and developing skillset alongside senior staff and management personnel.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office suite (preferred)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Testing: Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
• Account Reconciliation: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Report Drafting: Help draft management letter comments and contribute to the audit report.
• Client Meetings: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position for candidates actively working toward an accounting degree and CPA exam eligibility.
• Experience: Valuable experience gained through academic studies or prior internships that prepares candidates for tasks assigned to entry-level associates.
• Skills: Solid technical accounting knowledge, effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with a team as well as independently, and close attention to detail.
• Bonus: Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
