Staff Accountant I & II | FNS, Inc.

This Staff Accountant role is essential for ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, supporting the company’s ambitious growth objectives, and upholding proper accounting practices in a family-like working environment.

• Mission: This person will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and support month-end close processes for a growing logistics company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Closing: Review and confirm the expense ledger and meticulously prepare documentation for the monthly closing process.
• Expense Management: Manage the company’s employee expense reimbursement process and reconcile corporate credit card statements.
• Asset Tracking: Systematically review the fixed asset schedule and calculate depreciation expense on a monthly basis.
• Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare and process essential journal entries and perform detailed account reconciliations necessary for month-end close procedures.
• Compliance & Guidance: Develop and enforce proper accounting practices within the department and across the company, providing guidance based on established accounting principles.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial information and prepare key financial statements, including balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and other internal and annual reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting practices and controls.
• Experience: 0-3 years of accounting experience, with entry-level candidates considered if they have relevant internships.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay technical accounting information, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Bonus: Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English, multi-state tax experience, and CPA or EA certification are desired.
