• Mission: Owns the processing, verification, and timely payment of all vendor invoices and expense reports to ensure financial accuracy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Invoices: Accurately process vendor invoices by matching them to purchase orders and coding transactions to the correct general ledger accounts, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Manage Expenses: Prepare and meticulously review expense reports, verifying accuracy and adherence to company policies before processing for payment.
• Reconcile Accounts: Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable and perform regular reconciliation of vendor statements to maintain precise financial records.
• Collaborate & Resolve: Actively collaborate with finance and other departments to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and respond promptly to payment inquiries.
• Support Operations: Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities, maintain organized accounting records, and assist in improving AP workflows and internal control compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, along with a solid understanding of Accounts Payable processes and basic Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: Demonstrated experience managing expense reports with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy in coding, and strict adherence to company policies. Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting is beneficial.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in core accounting functions including journal entries, general ledger posting, and reconciliations; Demonstrated analytical skills for reviewing financial data and resolving discrepancies; Adeptness with accounting or ERP software and strong competence in spreadsheet applications; Exceptional organizational skills, effective time-management, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality; Strong written and verbal communication skills, fostering professional collaboration across various teams.
