The Tone
This is a full-time role at NCheng LLP, located in New York, NY, operating on a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite. The Staff Accountant role is essential in supporting daily accounting operations for both clients and internal departments. The role also involves utilizing state-of-the-art, cloud-based accounting systems to support secure and real-time collaboration.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Transactions: Accurately process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries to ensure timely financial data recording.
• Conduct Reconciliations: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with reconciling various key balance sheet accounts.
• Organize Financial Data: Maintain organized filing systems for invoices and financial records, and support in retrieving documentation for audits or client requests.
• Support Month-End Close: Compile financial data for monthly closings, including journal entries and adjustments, working under guidance from senior staff.
• Prepare Reports: Contribute to the creation of internal financial reports, weekly cash-flow statements, or other client deliverables as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience: 0–3 years of accounting or finance experience, which may include internships.
• Skills: Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
