The Associate, Finance Shared Services role, specifically as an Accounts Receivable Cash Applications Analyst, is crucial for maintaining the integrity of accounts receivable records. What You’ll Actually Do
• Cash Application: Analyze daily bank activity and accurately apply customer payments against open accounts receivable balances in a timely manner.
• Reporting & Reconciliation: Monitor, run, and maintain bank balance reporting to support daily cash visibility and reconcile accounts receivable and cash application activity to resolve discrepancies.
• General Ledger Postings: Record cash receipts and post related journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and proper account balancing.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external customer accounts payable contacts to obtain remittance details, resolve payment identification issues, and clear intercompany payments or unidentified cash items.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate current cash application workflows and recommend process enhancements, standardization opportunities, and automation solutions to improve efficiency and control.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business equivalent or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
• Experience: Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and targets, with a focus on timely, accurate, and controlled application of cash receipts and reconciliation activities.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, advanced Excel proficiency, excellent problem-solving abilities, self-starter mentality, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: Knowledge of banking platforms, cash application tools, and financial systems used for receivables and treasury operations. Experience supporting process improvement or automation initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, or internal controls.
