Business & Operations Development Specialist (New Grad) | BMO U.S.

The Tone:
This is a 16-month full-time development program at BMO U.S., a financial group driven by the purpose to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life. The program is designed to recruit and develop future leaders by providing hands-on experience, focused training, and exposure to executive leadership. This role is crucial for driving organizational objectives and enhancing customer and employee experiences within U.S. Banking and the COO organization, launching participants’ careers with a competitive edge.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop Solutions: Develop solutions and provide recommendations based on an understanding of business strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Execute Initiatives: Support the execution of strategic initiatives through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct Analysis: Perform independent analysis, market research, forecasting, pricing, and competitive analysis to resolve strategic issues.
• Manage Products: Participate in the design, implementation, and management of core business processes and products throughout their lifecycle.
• Report Performance: Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards, monitoring performance and identifying trends.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Post-secondary degree in a related field, typically with 1-2 years of relevant experience, and a working knowledge of retail and business banking.
• Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience, geared towards college graduates and early career talent.
• Skills: In-depth verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving, influence, and data-driven decision making skills.
• Bonus: Knowledge of software and systems architecture, including coding languages such as SQL, Python, and Power BI.
