Manufacturing Management Trainee | The Judge Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time management trainee position at a large manufacturing company, located in Quincy, MI. The company is a significant player in the manufacturing sector, focused on producing various goods. This role is crucial for developing future leaders who will direct and manage various aspects of plant operations, ensuring the company’s continued efficiency and profitability by protecting assets and optimizing processes.

• Mission: This person will learn all aspects of manufacturing management to eventually lead plant operations and protect company assets.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Planning: Work alongside managers to contribute to the planning and direction of the organization’s work.
• Operational Oversight: Assist in the overall direction and management of the manufacturing facility, potentially taking direct charge of specific plant operation areas.
• Cross-functional Development: Gain comprehensive perspective by working in different departments such as marketing, sales, customer services, purchasing, merchandising, and personnel.
• Performance Analysis: Utilize company reports to analyze key metrics like sales, gross profit, and inventory activity, and monitor competitive market pricing.
• Profitability Protection: Collaborate with and through management to develop and implement actions designed to safeguard company assets and enhance profitability.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in agriculture, engineering, industrial management, or a related field. Career level: Entry-Level.
• Experience: One year or more of related experience, military experience, or an internship.
• Skills: Excellent mechanical ability, strong ability to work well with others in a team environment, exceptional written and oral communication skills, good math and computer skills.
