What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage Clients: Work on client engagements, gaining exposure to various industries and applying technical knowledge like entry-level associates.
• Reconcile Accounts: Collaborate with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Prepare Returns: Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns.
• Calculate Payments: Calculate tax extension or estimate payments.
• Attend Meetings: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Working toward an accounting degree and CPA licensure eligibility; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required, but candidates must possess reliable transportation to the assigned office and the ability to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
• Skills: Solid technical accounting knowledge, effective time management, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with a team as well as independently, and close attention to detail.
• Bonus: Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite.
