The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Stanford University, located in Stanford Main Campus with a hybrid schedule (3 or more days/week on site). The Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE) is a hub of undergraduate innovation, creating meaningful interactions between students and faculty both within and outside the classroom. This role supports the Bing Overseas Studies Program (BOSP), which provides transformative global educational experiences for students, enabling them to embrace new challenges in complex global settings.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Monitoring: Monitor expenditures, reconcile financial transactions, and analyze financial data for a large and complex global operation.
• Expense Management: Manage and approve expenses and purchase orders for Global Seminars, partner programs, the NY Center, and the home office, including tracking and reconciling travel for faculty and staff.
• Compliance & Reporting: Enforce business expense and travel compliance policies and procedures, utilizing financial reports and databases to gather data and prepare reports, handbooks, and guides.
• Student Accounts: Process student billing and stipends, and resolve student account issues as needed.
• Process Improvement: Recommend, assist, and contribute to process streamlining, system improvements, and the development and maintenance of desktop procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate degree; Entry-Level career level; core domain knowledge in accounting skills and concepts.
• Experience: Two years of applicable experience; basic knowledge of accounting systems and the internet; experience in reviewing and processing accounting transactions.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; user knowledge of Excel; ability to apply accounting skills and concepts; ability to draft professional communications and effectively communicate information to internal audiences.
