This Accounting Intern role is critical for supporting the daily financial operations and special projects within the accounting department, directly contributing to the company’s financial accuracy and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Improve: Identify best practices for specific accounting tasks to enhance departmental efficiency.
• Review: Monitor daily activity to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance, while understanding business trends.
• Support: Assist with month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and conducting complex account reconciliations.
• Manage: Contribute to the accounts payable process, encompassing payments, accruals, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Assist: Aid with various financial processes such as daily transfers, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, process audits, and commission reconciliations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: College student currently in Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing, majoring in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, excellent analytical ability and perseverance for problem-solving with high attention to detail, and a self-starter who can manage multiple tasks with established timelines, working independently or in a group.
• Bonus: Prior internship or office experience is highly preferred.
