As an Accounting Methods and Periods Tax Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting clients across various tax specialty areas, preparing returns, conducting essential research, and understanding complex tax regulations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate as part of a team focusing on a wide range of tax specialty areas, which include accounting for income taxes, accounting methods and periods, corporate taxation, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entity taxation, private client services, and not for profit organizations.
• Tax Planning & Research: Execute essential tax planning and research activities to support diverse client needs.
• Return Preparation: Accurately prepare both federal and state & local tax returns.
• Regulatory Understanding: Develop a foundational understanding of current tax regulations and accounting pronouncements relevant to client engagements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level internship position for candidates currently working towards a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university. Applicants must be majoring in Accounting and have completed a minimum of 90 credit hours.
• Experience: Requires the ability to travel to assigned client locations. Candidates must have access to and be able to arrange for the use of reliable modes of transportation to these locations.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for this role.
• Bonus: A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment is also preferred.
