What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Key Accounts: Take primary responsibility for the proper accounting of prepaid expenses, conference expenses, and fixed assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance within financial records.
• Financial Reporting Support: Assist in the comprehensive preparation of consolidated financial statements, their accompanying footnotes, and various monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages.
• Account Analysis & Reconciliation: Conduct thorough analysis of assigned general ledger accounts to detail major items and significant variances, reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, and prepare necessary journal entries.
• Ensure Proper Accounting Treatment: Code and accurately enter various accounting entries into the accounting system, conducting diligent research and discussions with management to apply correct accounting principles.
• Maintain Department Operations: Manage monthly and quarterly checklists for the department, proactively review operating methods for efficiencies, and maintain up-to-date written procedures for all assigned duties.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related financial field is a fundamental requirement for this early career professional role.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in mathematical computation, complex calculation, problem-solving methodologies, and strong reasoning and analytical skills is essential.
• Skills: Required proficiency includes a strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, for daily tasks and data management.
• Bonus: Prior knowledge or experience with Oracle Financials software is a preferred qualification that would be beneficial for this position.
