This is a part-time internship at PKF O’Connor Davies, located in Harrison, NY. The TL;DR

• Type: Part-time
• Location: In-person Harrison, NY
• Pay: $30–$32 hourly
• Team: Assigned to one of our industry groups, working as a team member on diverse client engagements.
• Mission: Assist in providing quality tax services and gain practical experience in tax scanning and tax return preparation during busy season.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Relations: Develop professional relationships with both clients and firm employees.
• Compliance Adherence: Become familiar with and adhere to the Firm’s policies and procedures to ensure efficient and professional teamwork.
• Tax Preparation: Become proficient in scanning and preparing tax returns for various clients.
• Technical Application: Demonstrate knowledge of basic technical tax requirements relevant to client engagements.
• Software Proficiency: Develop a working knowledge of all routinely used microcomputer applications for tax services.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must have at least 75% of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting completed from an accredited university.
• Experience: No specific years required; this is a program for students.
• Skills: Good communication and computer skills, ability to work collaboratively, motivation to perform in a demanding environment, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Other: Must commit a minimum of 20 hours per week, have availability for weekend work when necessary, and be willing to travel frequently to local clients and other PKFOD locations.
