Accountant Associate – Remote | Prime Therapeutics

What You’ll Actually Do
• Close Activities: Perform assigned month-end and year-end accounting close activities in accordance with established deadlines and procedures.
• Reconciliation: Prepare, document, and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules, actively researching and resolving any reconciling items.
• Variance Analysis: Review account activity, investigate variances, and escalate any issues or exceptions as appropriate to ensure financial integrity.
• Billing Support: Assist with Medicare Part D premium billing operations, including reporting, reconciliations, research, and other client-related tasks as needed.
• Process Improvement: Partner with the Principal Accountant and other team members on various process improvements, analytical projects, and ad hoc requests.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related area of study, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. A high school diploma or GED is required. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Working knowledge of accounting principles, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and financial close processes. Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
• Skills: Proficiency with Excel, including working knowledge of lookups, pivot tables, and formulas, along with proficiency in Word. The ability to maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready documentation for assigned accounting processes is essential.
• Bonus: Experience with general ledger, account reconciliation, premium billing, or other financial systems is preferred. Experience researching account variances, preparing journal entries, and supporting reconciliations is also a plus.
