The TL;DR

• Mission: To conduct comprehensive audits for real clients from beginning to end, supported by structured training and experienced staff coaching, while also participating in firm-sponsored recreational activities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Process Engagement: Work diligently through the entire audit process, gaining comprehensive hands-on experience on real client engagements, typically assigned 2-3 audit clients.
• Full Audit Execution: Conduct complete audits from their initial stages through to completion for assigned clients, benefiting from continuous real-time training and coaching provided by managers and experienced staff members.
• Structured Learning & Application: Participate in morning group training sessions covering each specific audit area, then immediately apply the learned concepts and techniques to active client work in the afternoons.
• Progressive Audit Experience: Complete an initial audit with full support, then progress to undertaking a second audit engagement, receiving coaching as needed to reinforce learning and build independence.
• Firm-Sponsored Exploration: Join staff and partners for “Fun Fridays,” engaging in various paid recreational activities across Oregon such as white water rafting, jetboats, zip-lining from Bachelor, sand-railing on the country’s largest sand dunes, and grand prix racing, fostering team camaraderie and exploring the region.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as an upper-division accounting student who is eligible to earn up to 6 upper-division accounting credits for the successful completion of this internship.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is explicitly required, as this internship is structured to provide foundational, hands-on audit experience and comprehensive training.
