Staff Accountant | LendingOne
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at LendingOne, located in Boca Raton, FL, with Work-From-Home Fridays. LendingOne is a direct private lender for Real Estate professionals, specializing in business-purpose mortgage loans for non-owner-occupied investment properties, including fix/flip bridge loans and long-term rental financing. This role is crucial for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance by managing core general ledger responsibilities and end-to-end accounts payable processes for a rapidly growing organization. The Staff Accountant will contribute to process enhancements, including the implementation of AI for automation, and support the company’s continued success and internal growth.

• Team: Reports directly to the Controller. Collaborates across Asset Management, Post-Closing, and Legal departments.
• Mission: Ensures financial accuracy and compliance by managing general ledger tasks and full-cycle accounts payable, while contributing to process improvements for a growing real estate lending company.
• Tech Stack: Accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems), Excel, AI for process automation.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Daily Transactions: Process day-to-day financial transactions, prepare journal entries, and perform bank ledger reconciliations.
• Support Closing & Audit: Support the facilitation of month-end closing procedures and assist with the yearly audit.
• Oversee Accounts Payable: Oversee full-cycle Accounts Payable processes to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely vendor payments.
• Facilitate Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with Legal, Asset Management, and Post-Closing teams to verify billing accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and support interdepartmental workflows.
• Contribute to Technological Advancement: Assist with technological transitions, including helping implement AI for process automation, and support other aspects of accounting as requested.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Experience: Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems.
• Skills: Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Excel. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
