What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial transaction data within the company’s ERP system.
• Account Reconciliation: Execute monthly reconciliations for all bank and credit card accounts, ensuring accuracy and proactively identifying any discrepancies.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage both accounts payable, including inputting vendor bills and processing timely payments, and accounts receivable, involving recording customer invoices and following up on outstanding balances to support timely collections.
• Month-End Close Support: Assist the Financial Controller with the monthly close process by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and accounts are reconciled promptly, also preparing financial reports with detailed information.
• Commission and Payroll Accounting: Oversee the monthly processing of commission payments to ensure contractors are paid accurately and on schedule, including creating journal entries and reconciling payroll-related accounts based on payroll records.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-Career professional with a strong foundational understanding of basic accounting principles and the intricacies of account reconciliations.
• Experience: Requires at least 1 year of full-time experience in either bookkeeping or a dedicated accounting role. Candidates should be based in Denver, CO, as relocation is not being considered.
• Skills: Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, possesses strong organizational abilities, and applies a proactive problem-solving mindset to daily tasks.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include prior experience working within a lean, growing business environment and practical familiarity with ERP systems.
